FIA WORLD RALLYCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP
The FIA World Rallycross Championship is one of the newest global FIA motorsport series. It is perhaps the most visually and aurally exciting of all global series with short, sharp wheel to wheel racing, in very powerful cars on a short mixed surface track combining rallying and racing into one circuit. It is also one of the fastest growing FIA world championships attracting crowds at some races comparative to those in Formula One.

CARS
The WRX cars are some of the most dramatic in world motorsport. Based on small family hatchbacks, like the HYundai i20, Audi A1 and Peugoet 106 and Renault Megane, they are re-engineered into bespoke 600 bhp, four wheel drive rallycross cars able to reach 100 kph in just 2 seconds.

The limited grip from the combination of engine power, tyre design and loose surfaces leads to the cars travelling sideways for much of the short laps and wheels to wheel action, where some contact is part of the racing.
