FIA WORLD ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP
The FIA World Endurance Championship is the only global racing series for sports cars and includes the world's most famous motor race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Races last from 4 to 24 hours and see different classes of car race on the track at the same time. Global brands like Ferrari, Porsche, Ford, Toyota and Aston Martin all use this endurance racing series to enhance their brands through their global marketing programmes.
Prodrive has more than 18 years' experience competing in international sports car championships, and has helped its customers win five Le Mans titles and six FIA WEC titles. For the last 15 years, we have run the Aston Martin Racing team.
These are the fastest and are fully bespoke racing cars built to a formula not dissimilar to F1 and with a similar level of performance.
They can be petrol or diesel powered with a hybrid engine with an engine recovery system
Similar in design to an LMP1 car these are also bespoke racing cars. This class is only open to independent teams (not manufacturer entries) and the cost of the car (excluding the engine) must not exceed €483,000
These cars are based on production sports cars and must carry over the road car chassis and the base engine. Other than that all the systems and components are bespoke race parts.
