Prodrive has won the Innovative Tech Company award at the Southern Tech 100 Awards.

The Banbury-based technology and motorsport business saw off competition from businesses across southern Britain.  The judges were impressed by the way Prodrive had diversified and was applying its skills and motorsport approach to projects for clients in a range of industry sectors, from the Land Rover BAR America’s Cup team in the marine sector to aircraft jet engine manufacturers and renewable energy technology businesses.

Julian Asquith, partner at Intellectual Property specialists, Marks & Clerk said: “All the finalists were very impressive, but the one which stood out for us for its innovation, Prodrive, has been involved in diversifying into a wide range of different fields beyond its core business. For example, it has recently launched a new carbon fibre commuting bike which could go on to become the alternative to the Brompton bike.”

In 2016 Prodrive won the Thames Valley 250 business award for innovation.
