The X44 team had a strong run in the opening round of the 2022 Extreme E championship finishing third in the final, after setting fastest times in free practice and qualifying and then winning their semi-final.
Lewis Hamilton's X44 team is run by Prodrive and finished second in the inaugural Extreme E championship in 2021. Nine time World Rally Champion, Sebastien Loeb and Spanish rally driver Crisitina Guitierrez compete in the Odyssey 21 electric car and won the final round of the 2021 championship at the Jurassic XPrix in Dorset.
Sébastien Loeb, said: "It was a good weekend for us. We had the best time in free practice and qualifying 2, then we won our semi-final so until the final it was perfect. In the final I had a good run, I was second right behind Carlos, and Cristina took the car after and I think she did well. She managed to follow Laia in the dust and held off Johan for a long time. We were third and that’s not a bad start to the season."
The next round is the Island XPrix in Sardinia at the beginning of May.
