With improved vehicle dynamics, engine and aerodynamic performance obtained through Prodrive's range of performance accessories, it is essential that equal attention is paid to the critical area of vehicle braking.

To ensure that the car has additional stopping power, Prodrive has developed a range of brake upgrade options. Not only do these simply help to reduce the stopping distance, but careful consideration has been given to design areas such as system weight ensuring that the vehicle's dynamic characteristics are not compromised.

For the driver who wants the ultimate in braking performance, Prodrive has engineered a comprehensive brake system upgrade, available for all Subaru vehicles*.

The kit comprises of upgraded discs, calipers and pads for maximum braking performance. The 4-pot front calipers, unique to Prodrive, are machined from lightweight aluminium to minimise unsprung weight. These are mated to 330mm discs featuring spiral venting for greater cooling capacity and a unique Prodrive groove pattern to continually clean the pad and resist glazing. The pad material has been specifically chosen to complement the characteristics of the discs, delivering improved stopping power.

The system has undergone extensive testing under the most demanding conditions to ensure consistently strong braking performance without suffering the traditional problems of cold performance often associated with brake upgrade systems.
