25 YEARS OF PRODRIVE
Prodrive is one of the most successful motorsport and automotive technology businesses in the world. 2009 is the 25th anniversary of the business, which was created in 1984 when we were competing with the Rothmans Porsche 911 SC RS in the Middle East Rally Championship. Today we are a multi-million operation and in 2009 our latest creation is the Aston Martin LMP1.
Since our formation in 1984 we have won more than 100 international rallies and six World Rally Championship titles with Subaru. We have won the British Touring Car Championship five times with BMW, Alfa Romeo and Ford and are involved in international sports car racing with Aston Martin Racing. We also won the GT1 class at the Le Mans 24 Hours with a privately-backed Ferrari team in 2003 and with Aston Martin Racing in 2007 and 2008. In Australia we compete in the Australian Touring Car Championship with Ford Performance Racing.
Today more than half the company's turnover comes from our work in the mainstream vehicle market. We work with vehicle manufactuers and their suppliers across the world developing new technologies and niche vehicles which enhance their brands.
