PERFORMANCE ENGINEERING
Prodrive's engineering capabilities cover engine, transmission and drivelines, chassis engineering and vehicle dynamics. By working with specialist partners, we can manage the whole engineering process from initial concept engineering with design and feasibility studies, through styling and clay modelling to body and chassis design, prototype build and vehicle validation and certification.
We have a world-class reputation in optimising the dynamic characteristics of both two and four wheel vehicles using passive and active systems. We will carry out objective benchmarking studies and comparator vehicle fingerprinting, and using our modelling programmes, based on ADAMS, will develop vehicles with class leading handling characteristics.
Using active driveline and damper systems, our Brand-by-Wire™ approach enables vehicle manufacturers to personalise the characteristics of their models without major re-engineering.
Prodrive is able to integrate and repackage systems into new or existing platforms. We have particular expertise in developing driveline configurations for front wheel drive, rear wheel drive and four wheel drive cars, as well as all-wheel drive electric hybrids.
